Socially Responsive Investing

Socially responsible investing, also called SRI, stems from the belief that responsibility is a hallmark of quality. SRI integrates environmental, social, governance (ESG) criteria into the investment process to stimulate positive sustainable impacts across the economy. The notion of "integrating" ESG criteria into mainstream investing has increasingly gained popularity as investors have begun to realize that a company's ESG records are not just important to idealistic investors, but can also have a significant impact on a company's bottom line.
