Alexander Sklemin, CFA, CAIA, FRM, Senior Vice President, joined the firm in 2013 as a CEEMEA Credit Analyst on the Emerging Markets Debt team, based in the Hague. Alexander is responsible for covering corporate issuers in non-financial sectors, with coverage primarily focused in Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa. Prior to joining the firm, Alexander worked at Raiffeisen Bank International in Vienna for six years as a deputy head of credit research, responsible for CIS/CEE corporate credit coverage (fixed income) of both corporates and financials. Prior to that, he worked as an investment analyst for United Industrial Corporation in Moscow. Alexander obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the People’s Friendship University of Russia (cum laude), and a Master’s degree in Financial Management from The Lomonosov Moscow State University (summa cum laude). Alexander has been awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst, the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst and the Financial Risk Management designations. In addition, he has also obtained the Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement.
