2025 Almanac Data Summit: Driving Decisions & Value

Moderated by Justin Hakimian (Managing Director, Almanac) and featuring speakers from Macquarie Group and GRESB, this session discussed how granular, high-quality data doesn’t just serve regulatory needs; it also can be deployed to attract capital, reduce risk, and mitigate compliance costs. The key is to be prepared for risks and demonstrate that readiness to stakeholders.

Moderated by Andrew Silberstein (Managing Director, Almanac), featured speakers from Tishman Speyer, Dealpath, and Cherre. Panelists discussed how standardizing and digitizing data breaks down silos, reduces inefficiencies, and drives smarter decisions across asset, portfolio, and enterprise levels. It also lays the groundwork for AI-driven advancements.

Mark Davidson (Head of Business Enablement and Operations, NB), Madeline Wick (Managing Director, Almanac), and speakers from Starwood Capital Group and Alpha Alternatives joined us for this panel and emphasized that reliable, actionable data is paramount. When supported by clear ownership and collaboration, data governance ensures transparency, minimizes inefficiencies, and embeds scalability into data-driven processes for durable growth.

Moderated by William Loyd (Sustainability, Senior Associate, Almanac), featured three of Almanac’s portfolio company leaders who highlighted how centralized data systems enable automation, improve efficiency, and support strategic initiatives to create measurable outcomes like: better and faster reporting and actionable insights that drive decision-making.

Our final session, moderated by Josh Overbay (Managing Director, Almanac) and joined by leads from Camber Creek and PRODA, reinforced how success with data and AI starts with integrating tools into daily tasks. Panelists emphasized the importance of data quality while underscoring that AI should be seen as enhancing –not replacing– human roles. Organizations that embrace this mindset and skillset create a distinct advantage in an increasingly data-driven landscape.
