Before joining Neuberger Berman, he worked as a Fixed Income & Derivatives Analyst at NISA Investment Advisors in St. Louis. He earned a BSBA from Saint Louis University.

The pace of core inflation slowed in April, but more progress is needed.

After an unexpectedly strong first quarter for U.S. inflation, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for April showed some disinflationary progress, albeit still from elevated levels. Headline CPI printed at 0.3% month-over-month (MoM) and 3.4% year-over-year (YoY), while Core CPI came in at 0.3% MoM and 3.6% YoY. Both of the MoM numbers are 0.1% lower than for March.
