Neuberger Berman considers property to be unclaimed when mail sent to the owner is returned undelivered or when three years have passed since a cheque was issued to the owner and it has not been cashed, and the property value is $50 or greater. Neuberger Berman makes efforts to locate and notify owners of their unclaimed property by contacting their financial advisor and/or writing to the owner at their last known address, and we maintain a list of owners of unclaimed property who we have been unable to contact.
