François Watelet, FRM, CAIA, Vice President, is the Conducting Officer - Risk Manager of Neuberger Berman AIFM S.à.r.l. (the "AIFM"). François joined Neuberger Berman in Luxembourg in June 2020. He also serves as Risk Manager of NB Renaissance Partners Holdings S.à.r.l., a holding company in which several funds managed by the AIFM invest.

François began his career as a fund accountant at State Street Bank Luxembourg and JP Morgan Bank Luxembourg and held multiple fund administration and management positions over 15 years at Swedbank Luxembourg. From 2014 to 2020, he was a conducting officer of Swedbank Management Company S.A., responsible for oversight of the delegated activities of central administration and depositary, and the chairman of the valuation committee. From 2018, François was the conducting officer in charge of the permanent risk management function.

François holds a Master’s in Management and a post-graduate degree in Financial Economics from Université Catholique de Louvain (Belgium). He has the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certification and the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation.
