Chaired by Andy Johnson, our Diversity Council is a sub-committee of the firm’s Operating Committee (a group of 30+ senior leaders who provide guidance on the day-to-day activities of Neuberger Berman). The Council, which includes global representation across our investment, client coverage and operating platforms, helps to set and drive the firm’s EID strategy.

Sharon and Michele provide strategic guidance on the firm’s EID efforts to senior leadership, as well as the Diversity Council and our ERGs. Sharon has been a diversity champion throughout her career, including as a partner at Latham & Watkins LLP (co-chair of the Diversity Committee) and currently as part of the leadership team of Seneca Women. Similarly, Michele has been a consistent and active proponent of diversity and inclusion efforts in her career. At Goldman Sachs, she served on multiple internal committees, including the Americas Inclusion and Diversity Committee and the Hispanic/Latinx Network (as a Senior Member).

Our ERG Leaders provide an essential voice to Andy Johnson, senior leadership and our EID team, serving as a sounding board on important issues and initiatives. Broadly, our ERGs align their programming—in many cases focusing on intersectionality—to help further the firm’s EID efforts and more deeply engage our people.
