Jason Henchman, Managing Director, joined the firm in 2010. As Neuberger Berman’s General Counsel for Asia Pacific (ex Japan & Korea), Jason’s primary role is managing the firm’s Legal and Compliance functions in the region. Jason joined Neuberger Berman from Legg Mason, where he had spent 5 years as the Head of Legal and Compliance for Asia Pacific (ex Japan). Prior to that, he worked for Fidelity, initially based in Hong Kong as its in-house counsel for institutional business in Asia and, subsequently, based in Sydney, as General Manager of its institutional business and operations in Australasia. Jason has over 21 years’ experience within the asset management industry in the Asia Pacific region and remains a practicing solicitor in Hong Kong, having begun his career as a private practice lawyer. He was educated in the United Kingdom and holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of London.
