Laura Toppozini, PhD, Vice President, Associate Portfolio Manager, joined the firm in 2017 following the acquisition of Breton Hill Capital Ltd. Laura is NB Breton Hill’s lead researcher for ESG signals and oversees environmental, social, and governance integration across all NB Breton Hill equity strategies, a role which requires her to work closely with the firm’s Stewardship and Sustainable Investing Group. She also has portfolio management responsibilities, with a focus on the Global Value Fund. She holds a PhD in Physics from McMaster University, where her research led to 15 publications in academic journals that include Physical Review Letters. Laura also holds a MASc in Civil Engineering and an MSc in Physics from McMaster University, as well as a BSc in Physics from Lakehead University.
