Ray Carroll, PhD, CFA, Managing Director, joined the firm in 2017. As Chief Investment Officer for the Breton Hill quantitative investing team, Ray is responsible for active equity strategies, tax-managed strategies, and diversifying alternative strategies. Sherrell J. Aston, Jr., Managing Director, joined the firm in 1997. Sherrell is a Portfolio Manager on the Global Equity Megatrends team. He joined Neuberger Berman as a security analyst. Prior to joining the firm, Sherrell was a security analyst at Hull Capital, LLC. He holds a BA from the University of Virginia and an MBA from Columbia University.
Antonio Serpico, Managing Director, joined the firm in 2018. Antonio is a Senior Portfolio Manager specializing in non-USD Investment Grade credit markets and is responsible for strategy and performance of Euro Investment Grade allocations across portfolios as well as being a lead portfolio manager on Global and Euro Credit/Aggregate Mandates. Previously, Antonio was managing ABS funds and CDOs for Fortis Investments, most recently serving as portfolio manager for unconstrained flagship funds at BNP PAM. He began his career in 2000 as an associate analyst in Structured Finance research at Moody’s Investors Service. Antonio received his degree in Industrial Engineering from Padova University.
Antonella Santoro, Office Manager. Antonella Santoro is an Office Manager and joined NB Renaissance in 2015. Prior to NB Renaissance, she worked as executive assistant at Investindustrial, Banca IMI, Nomura, Lehman Brothers and KPMG. Ms. Santoro holds a certificate in Accounting from ITCG Andrea Doria Milan.
Antonio Sala is an Operating Partner and joined NB Renaissance in 2015. Mr. Sala is Operating Advisor and member of the Board of Directors of Rino Mastrotto and Arbo. Previously, he was Executive Vice President of Farnese Vini (portfolio company until March 2020). Before joining NB Renaissance, he was CEO of the Galbani Group and Deputy General Manager Corporate Affairs of Groupe Lactalis in France. He has 31 years of experience in multinational companies, in consulting and consumer goods (food). A graduate of Bocconi University in Milan, he was awarded the title of BAA Alumnus by the BAA Association in Paris in 2014.
Stone Jiang, FRM, Vice President, joined the firm in 2015. Stone is an Associate Portfolio Manager and Trader on the Global Investment Grade/Short Duration Team. His previous role within the firm was Analyst on the Fixed Income and Multi-Asset Class Risk Team. Stone has a BS in Information and Computational Science from Sichuan University and an MSc in Scientific Computing from New York University.
Fredrik Repton, Managing Director, joined the firm in 2007. Fredrik is a Senior Portfolio Manager with the Global Fixed Income team and Head of Currency Management. Fredrik holds a Masters in Finance from London Business School and graduated with First Class Honours in Investment and Financial Risk Management from Cass Business School at City University, London.
Owen Fenton, CFA, Senior Vice President, joined the firm in 2021. Owen is a Senior Research Analyst with the European Non-Investment Grade Credit team. Owen covers the Industrials, Media and Gaming sectors. Prior to joining the firm, he held similar credit research roles at Man GLG, Bank of Montreal Global Asset Management and Fitch, as well as a corporate advisory role at Royal Bank of Scotland. He earned a Degree in Accounting and a Masters in Business Economics from University College Cork. Owen has been awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Karman Tong, Vice President, joined Neuberger Berman in 2015. She is a Client Relationship Specialist for the Kantor Group, a portfolio management team within the firm. Prior to this, she worked as a client associate in NB Private Wealth and as a manager in the Private Client Service group. Karman focuses on providing clients with customized reporting and account analysis, and comprehensive support to the group. Karman began her career with The Vanguard Group in 2004 within their Ultra High Net Worth division. She earned her BS in Textile and Apparel Management and her BA in Multi-Disciplinary Studies from North Carolina State University.
Langston Theis is a Principal of Neuberger Berman. Mr. Theis is a member of the private equity investment team, focused on management, execution and portfolio analysis across a number of evergreen private equity investment vehicles. Additionally, Mr. Theis assists with business development activities for the private equity platform. Mr. Theis joined Neuberger Berman in 2008 after receiving a BA in Psychology and an MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas.
David Stonberg, Managing Director, is Neuberger Berman's Deputy Head of NB Alternatives and the Global Co-Head of Private Equity Co-Investments. He is also a member of the Private Investment Portfolios and Co-Investments Investment Committees, as well as the Renaissance, Secondary, Real Estate Secondary, Strategic Capital and Credit Opportunities Investment Committees. Before joining the firm in 2002, David held several positions within Lehman Brothers' Investment Banking Division, including providing traditional corporate and advisory services to clients, as well as leading internal strategic and organizational initiatives for Lehman Brothers. David began his career in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group at Lazard Frères. He holds an MBA from the Stern School of New York University and a BSE from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Appointed 15 June 2021 Louisa has extensive experience of the listed private equity sector. She established a successful career at Royal Bank of Scotland and Jefferies as a listed alternative investment funds equity research analyst, with a particular focus on listed private equity investment companies, and has played a key role in increasing awareness and understanding of listed private equity. She subsequently became Chief Operating Officer at LPEQ (now LPeC), an international association of listed private equity companies, and is now an award-winning entrepreneur. Louisa began her career at M&G Investment Management in 2003 and has an English Literature degree from the University of Durham.
